Social Media Volunteers

Social media volunteers will help to create original content for Because IPCC’s social media pages (Instagram, Twitter, and/or Tiktok).

  • Volunteers must keep up to date with various social media trends to ensure relevant content.
  • Social media volunteers will work closely with our research volunteers for accuracy of facts and data used within social media content.
  • Must be comfortable using Google docs to collaborate with the rest of the Because IPCC team.
  • Comfortable working with content creation programs such as Canva, Visme etc.

Research/Outreach Volunteers

Climate science data is always progressing. Research/Outreach volunteers will help to stay on top of current climate science news, breakthroughs, and important information pertaining to the IPCC.

  • Research/outreach volunteers will help to contact climate scientists, and various organizations to raise awareness of Because IPCC
  • Research done by our volunteers will be used for various social media platforms.
  • Research volunteers will be asked to prepare short documents with any interesting, relevant information researched.
  • Must be comfortable using Google docs to collaborate with the rest of the Because IPCC team.

Time commitment

We kindly ask all volunteers to be available for at least 5 hours per week. This will also include a weekly meeting with the Because IPCC team to discuss any questions and progress made.
