It was mostly that, but other things too, that caused big problems.
These changes in the air made our planet get hotter.
Plants and animals suffered; lots went extinct.
Sea levels rose; people’s homes were flooded.
And people started to go hungry.
And it looked like it was just going to keep getting worse...
